Conan visits Turner Broadcasting

Conan made a stop at Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta earlier today. Here’s a video and article about the visit:

Turner Broadcasting employees gave a warm welcome to the company’s new star, comedian Conan O’Brien.

O’Brien was in Atlanta for some marketing meetings during the day and a comedy show at the Fox Theatre Monday night.

Conan’s new talk show is set to start on TBS in November.

He will stay in Los Angeles to shoot the show.

He apparently had no idea a big crowd would be waiting outside for his arrival, and his reaction was irreverent.

“I have one question: What idiot decided to have this event outside in the heat,” Conan said. “At NBC, they would have had it inside with air-conditioning.”

Conan left NBC after the network gave the coveted 11:30 p.m. Eastern time slot back to Jay Leno.

“We’re gonna make some great television,” O’Brien told the Turner crowd. “And I’m not talking about my show.”

He went on to say he loves Atlanta and Turner. He thanked the crowd for the warm welcome.

After signing autographs and posing for pictures, he went inside to cool down and make plans for his debut.
